The hotel offers beautiful, clean, and cozy rooms, perfect amid stormy weather, but accessibility might be challenging for older guests. The service was exceptionally welcoming and friendly, although a bit blunt during check-out. The location is ideal, within walking distance of the main township, with a variety of delicious food options nearby. The dining experience was excellent with a wide menu selection. The facilities are convenient with lovely amenities.

The hotel has an excellent location close to Gwydyr Forest for hikes, making it a great base to explore from. The rooms have a charming 'olde worlde' atmosphere, but the narrow stairs and traffic noise can be disruptive. The service is exceptionally helpful and friendly despite challenges, and the dining experience, while basic at breakfast, offers quality ingredients. Wi-Fi not ideal as the signal weakens upstairs.

Rooms

The rooms have an atmospheric 'olde worlde' feel, but they are located up very narrow stairs and suffer from noise due to proximity to the busy A5 road.

My stay at the hotel was absolutely delightful! The rooms were brilliantly designed with a four-poster bed, a charming beamed ceiling, plenty of seating, and a wooden balcony. They were not only spacious but also comfortable, spotless, and exceeded all my expectations. The service was incredibly pleasant and the staff were so helpful, although as a sufferer of hayfever, I did find the abundance of fresh flowers and air fresheners a bit overwhelming. The location was just perfect, being situated on the national park with plenty of nearby walks, and the price was very well priced. The dining experience was excellent, with delicious and well-cooked meals that set us up for the day without needing to think about lunch. Overall, a great value for the money.

The service was pleasant, and the staff were really pleasant and friendly. However, as a hayfever sufferer, I found there were too many fresh flowers and air fresheners for me.

The location was brilliant and very well priced, situated on the national park with plenty of nearby walks. It was just outside the main village and close to a SHELL station. However, there was a rough surface wall nearby.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Despite the steep staircase to my room up in the eaves, I found it cozy and nicely decorated. The bathroom was new, but the four-poster bed was just a standard bed with a thin wooden frame. The shelter from traffic noise was a welcome bonus.

Rooms

Cozy and nicely decorated rooms with a new bathroom. The four-poster bed was not as luxurious as expected.
Service

The service was a mixed bag. While the staff were unapologetic and offhand about some concerns, they were very helpful overall. I appreciated their efforts, especially with the heating, and they bid us a friendly goodnight.
Location

The location was excellent, right in the heart of Snowdonia. With a sea view and close to Betws-y-Coed, it was perfect for our hiking adventures. The restaurant area was lovely, but I wished it was not at the expense of other features.
